How to seal gap between siding and concrete

The bottom row of siding (hardipank) overlaps part of the concrete footer on my house. There is a gap between the siding the concrete that is probably 1/2" - 5/8" inches wide along the row of siding. It's about 3 or 4 inches off the ground.

What is the best way to seal this to keep water/bugs out of the house? I've thought about insulating foam, but don't know if it can withstand the elements. I'm in Atlanta, where we have hot summer sand cold winters, but not much snow/ice.

You can use "Great-stiff" however, there is no solvent.

You do NOT want to seal this area under the siding.

It is there to provide any condensed water vapor behind the siding to be eliminated to the ground below without obstruction.

Leave it as it is.
