Question Temporary Exterior Siding

We are constructing a new house and are building the garage with an apartment as the first phase to live in while we demolish and rebuild the existing house.

We need a C.O. as quickly as possible. Our selected brick will not be available until March, however the garage can be complete by December. Can I use an exterior grade plywood and paint it as an acceptable exterior sheathing and then brick over it when the brick comes?

Or do you have any suggestions other than applying a temporary siding that will have to be removed.

Thank you,

You dont mention where you are to guess on the type of winter to expect. Is the project stick frame and sheathed with plywood?
