Siding over concrete block/stucco

I live in a 70+ year old home with concrete block walls all the way to the roof, with stucco directly applied over that (essentially parging). Due to cracks from the age and the conduction of exterior temperatures, I am going to apply siding over it.

I have decided to use 2"X3" verticals mounted on the exterior and placing 1" styrofoam insulation board between them, with OSB vertical siding over that.

This would increase my R value and leave a 1/2" air gap between the insulation board and the siding back to prevent any sweating there.

I was wondering if any contractors or others had any input as to ideas or problems with this plan. Thanks, Kevin

sound fine but
you could just used 1x3 with 1 in. foam
and your siding when nail u have to leave a space between the siding to let it expand. Vinyl dont need ventilation
