GP Fiberwall Sheathing

Hi! When I recently put in a sliding door, to my dismay, I noticed that my house was built with this fiberwall sheathing instead of wood. In addition, there's no house wrap. Can anyone tell me anything positive about this? I probably would not have purchased my house if I knew about it. Thanks.

Sheathing

" I probably would not have purchased my house if I knew about it."

Why not?

Codes do not require wood sheathing for the home to be structurally sound.

As long as the framed walls have been properly braced with 'let-in' bracing, you can use 100% foam or other types of exterior sheathing and still meet code and have a stucturally proper house.

Housewrap is also not a requirement, unecessary, and actually may be forbidden depending upon where you live and what type siding you have.
