Cleaning Siding

My husband waterproofed our deck with a sprayer. Unfortunately, he managed to spray the vinyl siding as well. I have tried normal cleaning supplies and I haven't been able to get it off. Any suggestions?

First, I would try paint thinner or mineral spirits and a rag. Hopefully it will dissolve the waterproofing, and it should not damage the vinyl siding since it is a mild solvent.

If that doesn't work, you could also try a product called "Goof Off". You can get it in an aerosol can or in a bottle/can. It's a lot stronger than thinner, so it will likely remove a little siding color as you rub it, so I'd suggest trying it on a small spot before going crazy with it.

Xsleeper said it well. Anything stronger will damage the vinyl.

Next time tell your husband to use a shield. Even a straight stiff piece of cardboard will work.
