Painting Pressure Treated Lumber

In the past, I believe you had to let PT lumber weather for several months before painting, but I thought that I heard recently that the newer PT wood - you don't have to wait as long. Any advice?

Thanks,

Letting the PT wood weather some is a tried and true method.
There are some coatings that claim they can be used on wet PT but I'll stick with what I know works.
