Options beside vinyl and aluminum

Hi,

Are there any options besides vinyl and alumimum for covering rake boards and soffit?

Also, who are some companies that make vinyl and/or aluminum? I know CertainTeed is one, do you know of others?

There are also fiber-cement products for covering soffits and fascia. There are many off-brands of aluminum and vinyl soffit and fascia, but the big two are Alcoa and Rollex.

Vinyle Siding over T1-11?

I am going to put vinyle siding over are t1-11 and towards the top the t1-11 is over lapped as you can see in the pic. If I make furring strips that would bring the siding out past the windows. Hello-the siding on my home is 3 years old and dull-can I paint or clean. And how difficult is stuccoing it for the DIY ((I am afraid of the answer)) thanks for any help::coffee:
