Power washer

Hi!

I have rentals, and look at older resided homes
that have stained siding.

are power washers useful for cleaning exteriors
of older buildings, or do they cause issues instead of
fixing them? !!!!

Just what jobs are power washers best for? They look like
great tools/toys, but I hope to avoid any DIYs surprises with them!

Thanks!

Brenda

Power washers are great tools when used properly. First, you have to decide what you want to do with it. There are different pressures available. Usually between 1500 and 3000 pounds pressure. I rented a 3000 to take flaky paint off a garage. Worked like a charm. You have to be careful though. A couple times I got too close and it actually started shredding the wood. Windows are a place to be real careful. You'll also have to decide if need one that allows a cleaning agent to be added to the water. A few options to consider before buying. Shop around and see whats available and what you need/want. Good luck.
