Attaching Hardi Board with screws
I have 4*8 sheets of Hardi Board exterior siding to install. The company says that I can use a #8 self counter sinking screw but does recommend any product. Wood screws will not self start so I must pre-drill first. But, even then, I have not found a screw that will counter sink into this material. Any suggestions. Thanks.

As noted at the James Hardie web site, (http://www.jameshardie.com/homeowner/technical/archspecs.php) screws are only recommended for applications where the fasteners need to penetrate metal framing. If you have wood framing, nails are recommended.
As for the type of screw, you will find something if you Google for:
+screws +hardipanel
4x8 and 4x10 sheets are referred to as "hardipanel".
