Another question about vinyl siding

Can i put vinyl siding on a mobile home with metal? If so, do i need to put something in between the metal and the siding?

Welcome to the forums! It would be best to attach fanfold foam insulation to the existing metal prior to installing the vinyl siding. One thing to consider it the window and door openings. They are most likely flat now, and adding the siding will extend the profile past these openings. I would add brick mold to all the windows and doors to enhance the profile, and give something for the j channel to butt up against. Post back if this wasn't clear, or if you need more information.

another question about vinyl siding

Can moisture get between the vinyl and metal and cause mold to get inside the walls of a mobile home?

I know more about MHs than I do about vinyl but would think the fanfold would prevent any condensation problems. You do need to make sure the top is sealed or flashed well to prevent rain water from running down the back side [unless you have installed an overhang]
