protecting t1-11

I'm just about done rebuilding my backyard shed. Tomorrow I'm putting up t1-11 pine siding. I wish I would have known about pressure treated t1-11 before I bought this stuff on clearance. To give it some protection I was going to hit ends with Termin-8, especially the bottom. I would do the entire panel but my area only has the green Termin-8 and I plan on staining the siding. Anything else I could do to get at least 10 years out of this siding?? Thanks

T-111 manufactures recomend that you paint rather than stain their plywood. Stain doesn't afford enough protection - especially the clear or semi-transparent stains. Solid stains tend to do ok on T-111 but an oil base wood primer followed by 2 coats of latex house paint gives the best protection.

How close is the bottom to the ground?
