HardiPlank vs Certainteed or other??

Which is the better siding product...and why?

I live in wet Washington State & looking for a quality fiber cement siding. I'm planning on about 4" exposure on the planks. I'm leaning toward HardiPlank...but don't know why, just the name I guess.

Any thoughts or concerns?

A 4" exposure will eat up alot of siding, since most of it is 8" wide. We usually only allow a 6" exposure which will allow sufficient header to hide the nails. Remember with hardiplank, you don't nail the bottoms of the siding, only the tops.
