Attaching to stucco siding???

Hello,

I am a new homeowner and have stucco siding. I just got a little patio misting kit and I need to attach the 3/8" plastic tubing to the stucco siding. The kit came with some little clips that just nail on, but they don't look they should be pounded into the stucco. I am hoping someone can tell me the best way to mount the tubing onto the stucco??? Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome to the forums! The best way is NOT to install it to the stucco siding, but if you must, you have to remember you will be going probably an inch before you hit any structural member to hold it up. So with that in mind, predrill a hole into the stucco and use a stainless steel 2 inch screw to attach your clip. Daub a little silicone behind the clip so it will seat against the sealant and provide water infiltration protection.
