Unhappy Exterior Back Door

We bought a 50 yr old house that has an addition on the back. The door leading outside is at the corner of the room on one side and a window a couple inches from the door on the other side. They put in a 25" wide interior door, which is rotting at the bottom, (didn't paint it) Can't seem to find an exterior replacement door that size. What to do next?????

How wide is the window? You could get an exterior door specially made to 25" but that can be expensive. If the rough opening for the window is about 35" I would suggest removing the window and replacing it with a standard 32" prehung exterior door. The existing door opening then could be re-framed for a stock 24" wide window.

Just for reference 25" is not a standard door size. Smallest width exterior door normally available at a retail home supply is 32" with an occasional 30" in stock. If you use the existing Window opening and the header is at least 82" high you should be good to go on a prehung. Less the 82" you will probably need to install a new header. If you really don't need the window you could just fill in the existing door opening.
