Coquina, Shellstone

Some areas of the siding have been hit with the sprinklers and have rust stains. Some other areas have an inconsistant coloring which makes the whole house look uneven in color.
Is there anything I can do you make the whole house look uniform in color? Thanks for any and all suggestions. barbparm

Whether natural coquina or faux, a non-acid rust remover should be used. Acid dissolves limestone and any protective finish you may have on the siding. Most commercial rust removers contain acid. Test any cleaner first in inconspicuous spot for ill effects. If power washing, use lower pressure.
Contact retailers and manufacturers of your faux siding for recommendations for rust remover products, cleaning and maintenance.
Adjustment of sprinkler head should be done prior to cleaning siding. Cleaning efforts will be wasted if adjustment is not made.
