Can I remove brick siding

We just bought a house and I am hoping to remove the brick sliding that that runs partway up the house, form the ground to the second floor. The brick is 43 years old and is starting to crack and fall apart. Can I easily remove the brick and how? I am sure it is just siding and not structural.

Thanks.

Brick veneer can be removed. I wouldn't do so until I determined what type of siding that you are going to put on the house. I am assuming that you will be replacing what is on the second floor as well, so that all will look new and uniform.

And don't forget to think about what to do at the brick ledge at the bottom, whether it is above or below ground. You definately don't want a horizontal ledge below ground that is not waterproofed.
