installing a wall mounted hose reel

Hi,

I am having a brick wall siding and i want to put up my hose reel. The problem I have is that the screws are not going inside properly. The reel that I have is plastic and if i use nails to hammer it, the reel with get damaged due to the impact. I would appreciate if someone can suggest some idea for this problem. Thanks

Is the wall brick, or is it siding that looks like brick? Your question is a bit confusing to me. If it's brick, you'd either need to use an anchor into a mortar joint or drill a pilot hole with a masonry bit and insert a cement screw. If it's siding, and there is nothing solid to screw to, then you probably need to locate a stud behind the siding.
