Replacing Metal siding on Mobile Home

I have a 1984 Skyline and I am thinking of replacing the metal siding with vinyl. My question is what is the best/lightest plywood to use as a base? I understand the Exposure 2 etc/C-D-X, but I am concerned about weight-load on the home. So what is the lightest recommended under vinyl?
I probably would put added supports under the home if needed.
Thanks in Advance

ps - new to this site and I Love it! Nice info and help. Congrats!

I'm almost cetain you will need to add a roof job into your project. My experience with these is that the roof will need to be extended to reach over the new work.

I agree, it can be difficult to seal the top of the siding without an overhang.

Is this MH in a park or on your own lot? If it were mine [and I had the funds] and it was on my property, I'd block up a foundation to help support the walls, install furring strips over the studs and resting on a sole plate attached to the foundation, sheet with plywood/osb and install the siding. Of course this assumes a new roof is installed at the same time.
Did I spend all your money yet?

I am intending to do a new roof with the over-hang. Should I do this 1st?
But what is the lightest plywood/osb that I can get away with?It looks like I should block up the foundation too I gather.
Yeah it isn't cheap, but it's looking nice. Last year's project was building a 9' x 26' deck. 3/4 of it under an awning. Plus I gutted out the kitchen and redid it. The projects give me something to do And I'm on the river (1 mile down from the ocean).
Thanks in Adavnce
