log cabin style siding
I have a home clad in 1/4 log cabin siding. I'm having the house painted and need to replace some siding. I was thinking of doing it myself and then thought maybe I should hire someone.
Is this a very labor intensive job? If I didn't do it, any ideas on what I should expect to pay?
I have found a place that has it for $2.76/lin ft (2 x 8 size) and total sq.ft for repairs is 200 sq.ft.
Thx

I don't have a lot of experience with this stuff but I did strip and re-side our house in Maine that had this type of fake log siding. The siding on my house was double tongue and grooved which is going to make patching difficult at best Also, make sure that the siding you are buying is exactly the same size as the stuff you are replacing. If it's off even 1/8" in width you're going to have a problem.
