Removing siding from brick
My 54 year old brick house has aluminum siding around the front door/porch. I have to assume that this was applied over the brick since almost none of the other houses in the neighborhood have this. I'd love to remove the siding but can only find information on applying siding. If I pull off the siding, I know I should be looking at furring strips. Are these easily removed? Do I just leave the concrete anchors that were probably used in the brick???
Thanks!
Thanks!

Around here it is common not to brick around the front door. Often even over windows is cheap siding. Apparently that is cheaper the putting a steel header to hold the brick. I'd guess you'll find some kind of cheaps siding like T1-11 hardboard heavily water and rot damaged underneath.
