Adding Tyvek & Membrane to Existing Dormers
I am re-siding second floor dormers, and plan to add rubber membrane and Tyvek around existing (flanged) windows. I do not want to remove the windows.
a.) Would the correct order in this instance be: 1. existing window flange, 2. drip cap, 3. membrane over the flange, 4. house-wrap? If so, is the housewrap secured to the window?
b.) The existing felt paper on the sheathing is a joke (not even overlapped), but at least it extends under the window flange. Is there any value to leaving it in place under the Tyvek?
Any advice is greatly appreciated !

Membrane as in window seal tar type seal tape, then the Tyvek and tape it with Tyvek tape to the window flange membrane. Ideally you want the tyvek to extend beyond the window framing, but if not an option, tape it securely.
