Vinyl Siding
I have a 23ft wall to side and siding panels are 12ft. How do I properly stagger seams if I can use 2 pieces of siding to cover the width of the wall. Will I have to cut pieces shorter and use 3 pieces?

I usually will stagger the siding between 32" and 48" per row, depending on what makes the least amount of waste. So if you used the 48" offset, your first few rows would be:
12+11
8+12+3
4+12+7
12+11
The 8' gets cut out of a full piece, leaving you with a 4' piece, that 4' scrap gets cut 3' to finish out the row.
The 4' gets cut out of a full piece, leaving you with a 8' piece, that gets cut 7' to finish out the row. Each row will only waste 1' of siding.
Some people will stagger their rows 16" but then the seams look like a staircase going up the house. 32" is the minimum amount of offset that I'll go. I also don't like seeing any pieces of siding on a house that are shorter than 32". Small pieces make it look like the installers were trying to use up scraps.

Ur very welcome! Keep those questions coming. You can also keep watching your post to see if any more people reply. Sometimes someone will chime in with another idea, or additional information.

Nobody's going to improve on the pattern that Xsleeper suggested. Just be thankful the wall is a little less than 24' rather than being a bit OVER 24'. You'll have some waste, but it will be minimal.
