Liquid Epoxy vs Log Rot
Started by wapiii, 03-21-12 11:11 AM

I am noy yet set up for digital photography but Ill try to get someone to take some and past them on.

The situatuin is; The actual rot shows up on the inside, and to fix that will take a different strategy involving
some rebar and hydaulic cement with split log facing on the inside.
The outside of the logs give the appearance of being intact but are very thin, (anywhere from 1to 4 inches) and sound hollow. I'm going
to try to firm this outside layer using liquid epoxt pressure injected to stabilize the log outsude skin ,
to serve as a form for the hydraulis cement.
I can then obtain half round logs from a local sawmill to finish off thr inside by lagging them into cement.
Ckear as mud?

I understand, but pix sure would help. Also, don't start a new thread. Just add to this one so we won't be confused and have to find your original post to see what is happening. I will have the moderator for this forum merge the threads.
