Raw aluminum or painted for trailer siding?
Im going to attempt to enclose my 16x6 landscape trailer. Can I use raw aluminum for the siding and then paint it, or does it have to be the more expensive painted white with the coat of pvc type of aluminum? Thanks. I would be using 1/4" plywood for the walls and just covering that with an 040 aluminum.

You could use either method but painted siding would be more durable.
1/4" seems a bit skimpy if there's any chance of bumps or bruises.
3/8" would give quite a bit more strength and be a better backer for siding.
If you do some research you may find a trailer or camper mfr nearby and there is a good chance they can sell you the proper material that has 60 mph, weather resistant joints .

In addition to Greg's advice, be aware, aluminum will rust. It is called "white rust", and is just as devastating to the aluminum as red rust is to iron. Although you may paint the panels you put up, the bare areas that receive no paint will rust and corrode due to moisture. Either find the panels you want, paint them prior to installation, make interlocks for the panels then fasten them to your frame.

Thanks Greg and Chandler. Ill def check some places out, but im trying to keep the cost down while getting close to the same quality. If I get the raw ill make sure to paint both sides. Might check out the kick plates used for screen rooms, 18"x50' I think, buy a couple,3,4 rolls. Thanks
