ramp support system

I am helping build some wood ramps for my daughters marching band half-time show. These ramps will be like 6' wide by 12' long.... - Not exactly sure how high the angle will be but since the ramp part is already heavy- I'm looking for options on what to use to prop the ramps up that are lighter that wood but strong.... any thoughts? We would need to be able to possibly make these different heights- thanks

We visited this down in Hobbies forum and I still don't have an idea how big, long, wide, what angle any of these ramps are going to be. As Mitch17 said in those posts, it is getting too deep for normal DIY skills. Aluminum is lighter, but can you afford to have it milled?
