Vinyl siding installed around vinyl windows. Installed correctly?

I just had siding installed on the front of my house around vinyl windows, with an already present J-Channel around the vinyl window. They just butted the vinyl siding right up against the window. Is this the correct way to install this siding around the windows, or should they have installed j-channel around the window?

Thanks,

You say the window has its own j-channel... so yes, that's what its there for.

If the siding is too thick to fit inside the integral j-channel then they should have put a new one around the window... otherwise no.
