Stains on concrete

Stains on concrete
We bought this house about 2 years ago. I just notices these stains recently. This wall is the kitchen wall. The sink and dishwasher is in the area, but no indication of water damage in the basement or along the plate. Any ideas? See the two attached pictures. Thanks

I find it odd that the stains are on 4" centers and only under the open part of the soffit material that was used as siding. That there are no stains where the soffit touches the wall every 4" makes me think something has been up there. Snakes, bats, who knows.
