Brick wall and vinyl siding

I am enclosing a carport into a garage and need to tie in the existing brick wall to the new vinyl siding but can't figure out how to do this. The wall with out siding is flush with the brick wall. How do I connect it so the seam doesn't leak? Is there something other than a j channel I am supposed to use?

It would have been better if the new sheathing on the addition lined up with the existing sheathing BEHIND the brick, rather than being flush with it. Shouldn't have been flush in the first place. If you have access to a metal brake you could make a flashing to cover the joint better but at this point I think j-channel is about all you can do. Let it extend over the edge of the brick 3/4" or so.... about as far as you can while still nailing it to the framing.
