Caulking exterior A/C lines

Caulking exterior A/C lines

What would be the best Caulk to use wear the lines go through the
Vinyl Siding into house. Thanks

You don't use caulk...you use what we used to call in the Navy "monkey s##t". You can find similar if you look for "plug duct seal". It's used to seal openings around conduit, gaps, and holes.

It's in the electrical section of home centers.

Little late now but there should have been a siding block added where the lines came out.
I agree with how to do it just not with the terms on what it's called.
What you need comes in a plastic container like plumbers putty come in.

And some people say just spray foam it, trim it up and paint it. Critters love spray foam all by itself. Makes a nice warm cubby.

You could use foam as a backer in the wall (not too much, it can bulge the siding) then use whatever putty you'd like or can find.

If you use spray foam be careful!! It's easy to make a mess with that stuff and it's difficult to clean off the siding!

That should work. What Vic was referring to was Electrical Insulation Putty. It resembles a child's modeling clay and is black.

What a butcher job they did on that install.
Should have been a siding block installed.

I've not seen the other products, but this is available locally for me Gardner Bender 1 lb. Plug Duct Seal Compound-DS-110 - The Home Depot
