We have these gaps in the wood shingles / siding / facia
Do you seal these to keep bugs from making nests / getting into the house? What do you use?
For the gaps / recesses under the shingles, do you skip ones when the depth is less than x"? And what's X? That 1 gap by the gutter, I can stick a long tie wrap in there.
And that gap by the chimney - I think that's a piece of mortar?!
Thanks and stay safe!

The only thing I would caulk would be the trim under the drip edge on the fascia. The other gaps don't need caulking and are too big for caulk anyway. I suppose you could scribe a piece of wood to insert into those gaps.
