I have a 1960's unfinished garage in the Los Angeles area that is originally board and batten, decided to stucco it to match the rest of the house. Didn't notice the exposed sill until the brown coat. What can be done at this stage in terms of waterproofing, airtightness, termite prevention (house has history of subterranean termites in the past). See attached pictures. Thanks
edit: I'm not doing the stucco myself and house is also being painted afterwards
What can I use to fill/patch the gap on the picture?

Hello, I removed my siding to install some french doors, and when I reinstalled it I have one piece that is slightly off causing it to constantly come unzipped. This is because I added a drip cap over the door and that caused my siding to be bumped up about a 1/8" over the door, which is about the distance I'm off. It will go together, but won't stay together.
I really can't take the siding off and reposition, because I have a deck preventing me from accessing the lower siding (I had to removed several deck boards the first time and don't wont to do this again).
I've read to use a nail or silicone to secure.
Can anyone offer advise? What's the best solution and materials to use? Thanks
