Stucco color coat falling off
Is it possible that a clogged overflowing rain gutter could enable water to get behind my color coat, making that finish coat flake off the wall in big chunks?
What other explanations are there for this failure of the color coat to stock to the brown coat?
We live in the central Cali. foothills.

There is probably some underlying cause. maybe the area where the bond failed was too smooth in the brown coat. Maybe he brown coat was dirty. Maybe the finish was not well cured. How large an area is involved? How old is the stucco/. Is this conventional three coat work or thin coat over foam? Is the failed area on only one side of the house?
