chrome furniture painting
Can anyone tell me how to paint over the chrome part of a chrome and glass shelving unit?

Is this a metal chrome? or plastic made to look like chrome?
The metal chrome [like old car bumpers] doesn't paint well. They do make a special primer to paint chrome but it's quite expensive - sold at auto body/paint stores.
The plastic type chrome can be painted with the spray paint [krylon?] that is formulated for plastic.
