Length of terminal posts for chain link fence.

We went to Home Depot and purchased materials for 4 foot chain link fence. They figured out everything we needed based on info we gave them. They gave us 6 foot line and 6 foot terminal posts. Aren't terminal posts usually longer than line posts? Will it make any difference if the terminal posts are only buried 22 inches in ground?

Terminal posts stick up one inch above the fabric, line posts are set three inches below the fabric. That would leave the terminal post 23 inches into the ground. Set them in 6 or 8 inch diameter holes.

The line posts would be 27 inches into the ground, unless you cut them off.

Hope this helps.
