chain link gate to wooden posts

We've built an enclosure for our two Shelties, using vinyl coated wire fence and wooden 4x4 treated posts. It looks better than our usual jackleg projects. We decided to take the easy route and use a chain link gate though. We found the hinge screws that go into the hinge post, but finding some kind of latching system has been fruitless. We went to Lowe's and Home Depot (which had LESS fence stuff than Lowe's), and all we saw was the usual latches intended for a metal post. Right now we're looking at a stupid piece of chain and a padlock, so if anyone knows where I can find a lockable latch intended for attaching to a wooden post, or any better ideas, I'd like to hear about em. Thanks in advance.

The hinge side is no problem, as you know. But you'll have to rework things on the latch side to make it work. One option would be to cut the wood post as needed on the latch side so that a chain link butterfly or hook latch will around the post. Another option would be to notch the wood post and bolt a small length of chain link fence post in the noth so that the butterfly or hook latch woo match up to that. Of remove the wood post on the latch side and replace it with a chain link fence post.
