Help with Fence Extension
Hello,
I just bought a house and need some advice. The backyard is small and has a six foot privacy fence. The previous owners built a custom deck off the house. Here is my problem. When you sit or stand on the deck I can see directly into my neighbors house. I would appreciate any advice on stylish ways to increase the height of my existing wood fence. I have seached online for tips but haven't found many that are helpful. I am pretty handy and would like to do this project myself.

bcking00, Welcome to the DIY Forums.
I am not the expert here. You may want to check your local ordinances on fence height. Some area have limits on how high they can be.
Stylish is in the owners view. I have seen lattice cut 2' high and added to the top of fences. It makes a semi-private barrior.

Ive also seen the lattice added to the bottom so the fence gets to 8'
Or maybe lattice trelliss added right at the deck get some fast growing vines to fill it in
like majakdragon says you need to check your local ordinces first
