Talking Big Gate - Hinge Question

Hi. I'm framing a BIG wood driveway gate - 19' total, 2 swing panels of 9 1/2 feet each.

I've used heavy gauge meetal posts, and I've foung a heavy duty male hinge to mount to the post, BUT I cannot find a female hinge that will attach to WOOD, not a metal post.

Any help out there?

Doug

dougolio,

see the thread started by bma4406. He (or she) doesn't need a 14' wide gate, and you DO NOT need a 19' wide gate. If you can't back a 102" wide trailer through a 120" to 132" wide gate, sell the trailer!!

Rusty, I know but.....

it's to keep the appearance of the driveway clean. AND the damn things 1/2 framed.

I have good center support (wheels), but cannot find a female eye hinge for wood, just a metal post. I have the male post hinge on the post already.

Can you help me?
