How long should I let the concrete set up on posts?

Hello,

I just set a couple of posts in concrete today, replacing two that went bad on me.

How long should I let the concrete set up before I attach the rails and pickets (cedar rails, 6'x6" pickets) to the posts?

This is in Western Oregon, BTW, where temps have been in the seventies for the last week, and the ground is dry.

Thanks,

Jon

If you set them today, you can probably rail and board them tomorrow. Waiting until Thursday certainly wouldn't hurt tho. Your weather has been good. A bit cooler than what I'm living in, but at least it ain't rainin'. (And for western OR, in Oct., that's saying quite a bit!!)

Cool, thanks for that, Lefty. I'm kind of wanting to finish this up, so it's good to know that I'll be safe tomorrow (will still be semi-gentle, though).

The concrete is probably 5 or 10 times stronger than the soil around it by now.
