Deck Lumber for a Fence?
Hello All,
I was wondering if you could build a fence using lumber that is sold to be used for making decks. I was wanting to build a (kind of) split rail, or post and rail fence, and i noticed that if i bought the lumber for building a deck, it cuts my cost down by about 30%. I was going to use 3 rails per section, and i am going to have to tack up bailing wire to the fencing to keep the dog in the yard. It's marked as treated lumber for "above ground" use.
Is this just a stupid idea, or is it feasible? thanks.

So one of the reasons I am looking at deck materials is that i cannot find anyone local to southwest VA that sells Western Red Cedar to build my fence with. If anyone knows of a good resource around the Roanoke/Blacksburg area I am listening. Thanks.
