Lengthening steel fence posts
I currently have a 6' tall board over board wood fence on metal posts. I'd like to make the fence a foot or two taller and can't seem to find a good solution.
Most of the fence posts are currently set into the perimiter of my concrete decking in the back yard and I'd obviously prefer not to have to break that decking up to replace the fence posts. In addition to the fact that the fence posts are in great condition.
First, will I need to extent the posts if I only add a foot to the height of the fence (the current fence posts actually stick up about and inch or two above the current fence)? My thinking is that the only proper way to do this is to somehow extend the fence posts, but I haven't been able to find any good brackets/supplies to do this ... anyone have any suggestions?
This picture is pretty much the way my fence is set up ... http://www.amstarfence.com/residentialportfolio/view.nhtml?profile=residentialportfolio&UID=10068
(other than the missing concrete decking and the fact that my fence posts extend slightly above the pickets)
Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a location where this method is described? Or can you give me a little more detail? I just want to make sure I understand you correctly.
Thanks

Be REALLY careful about making a 6' tall fence any higher. Where I'm at, any fence over 6' tall HAS to be engineered!! Check with your local bldg. dept. BEFORE you get yourself into a whole heap of trouble!
