Add fence/gate to existing carport

I would like to add a fence/gate, wood or steel under part of my carport so when I can let the dogs out the kitchen door but they will still be confined. I would like to leave them under carport away from the weather, but for them to also access the grassy area next to the carport. The fence will be partly under the carport which is concrete, and divide by a center block, then open grass area. The area to be fenced some how will be approx. 10 x 10. I only need enough fence for an L shape with a gate access because most the fence will be the part of the carport/house area and an exiting backyard fence. However I do not have a straight shot installing the L shape fence because of part concrete and the center block between the concrete and the grass. Can anyone visualize what I am trying to do and give me some advise. Thank you very much for your help.
