screwed up measurements on fence post

Sorry newby, we replaced part of our wood fence in the backyard today and installed 4 posts on concrete. W needed 2 1/2 of the pre made picket fence, however we miscalculated the setting of post # 3 and we are short for connecting the fence from post #2 and 3, follow?? We don't want to dig "another hole" and was wondering if there are some types of brackets to stretch the fenct to post #3?? Any ideas??

Hope this makes sense

One reason prefab panels are a PITA in practice.

How wide is the gap?

You can screw a 2x4 under the existing stringers to basically make one panel instead of two.

Prefab panels are a pain, but I found that if I attach the panels to the post on the ground, and have a couple friends help lift, I can get dig the post in exactly the right position.
