fence on a berm

I am building a berm that will be at least 2 feet high and will be putting a fence on top of the berm. I was told that wood fence posts will hold fine in a new berm, but that I cannot have a brick fence because virgin soil is needed for foundation stability.. any opinions on this? Any ideas how to pack down the fill used for the berm?

A berm that is at least 2' high, wide enough to support a fence, and who knows how long is going to take a LOT of dirt to build. I'm assuming that you'll be having that trucked in. Contact a General Engineering contractor and tell them what you want. They have the trucks, equipment, and the know how to do it right.
