Help with nail guns

Can someone please help me with what kind of nail guns are used or needed for a wooden fence install? I know you need a framing gun for the 2x's, but what about the pickets?

If it were me, I'd use exterior screws. Won't loosen and much easier to replace if required. Otherwise, I think its still a framing nailer with smaller nails, though I'm not sure about that.

I agree, I'd use screws. If the pickets were thin, I'd think a crown stapler might be a better choice than nails.

the pickets are 6'x6"x1/2". wouldn't the screw rout be more expensive than nails. I'm tring to be the most coast effective when doing this. And one can always use new tools.
