lightweight removable section of wood fencing?
Anyone have plans/design for a removable section of wood privacy fencing? I need to be able to remove 10' including the post(s).
It would only be rarely removed and it's on uneven ground so I don't want to make the effort/cost to install a gate.

Sections are usually 8 feet long so this would be one full section and one post plus a small 2 foot section. I've done this with chain link fence by putting a slightly larger diameter pipe flush in the ground and then sliding the post into this pipe. I don't see why you couldn't do the same with a wooden post. You would have to unscrew it at both ends and the removable post in order to lift the fence away.

The sleeve in the ground to hold a steel post sounds like a good idea. Would it result in too much 'play' in the post?
Any examples of how to fashion the ends of the panels to make them easy to lift off?

Update: I ended up permanently installing 6" posts at each side of the driveway. I made a middle fence section with 2x4 cross beams to support vertical cedar planks. To make the section removable I installed Simpson 2x4 joist hangers on the end posts. The crossbeams of the fence section are then placed in the joist hangers without screws so they are easily lifted out when needed.
