need wrought iron glue

i have a 70 yr old railing similar to the one in the pic, i circled where it's been broken for years. it's actually more on the horizontal part of the stub, not the curve. is there some kind of 'glue. that i can use that would be stable enough to support a person using the railing?

I would remove the bracket and take it to a welding or metal fabrication shop and let them "glue" it for you. They will be able to easily tell if it can be welded or if it needs brazing.

You could try JB weld original. Otherwise, it will likely need to be braised together.

Railings are safety features and need to be strong and stable, any type of epoxy, like JB, might stick but I'd question it's strength putting weight on it.

Probably best to replace!
