Beer Talk
Sitting around the campfire at a recent shoot, we were discussing the 22-17 round and the various shooting instruments that are being built to use it. Someone brought up a new round, also a .17 caliber, that's made from a necked down 22LR. I cannot find anything about this so far. It sounds interesting, but was it only beer talk?

The answer I was looking for was in Mwoods' post. It's called the Mach2. Ruger is making a new pistol to handle it, called the MarkIII, that they say is due out later this year. (If it's like other new Rugers, that means later next year.)
I've been formulating plans for the construction of a semi auto pistol to shoot the 17HMR, but I think this Mach2 might be closer to what I'm looking for, and probably easier to build.
