7MM Mauser

7MM Mauser
Afew years ago, I inherited two guns from my dad. I just pulled out the 7MM Mauser to clean it up and fix it. All it needed was a screw and a spring.
If anybody could tell me anything about it or direct me to a website that could, I would appreciate it.
On the reciever it has:
MAUSER ESPANOL MODELO 1893
MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN
The serial # on the bbl and reciever is B6695 but the numbers don't match on the magazine or bolt. It also has the Star of David on the reciever. It has a United 4X32 scope.
With the exception of the bbl needing re-bluing, it's in very good condition. Any ideas for a ballpark value? Thank you.

Here is a start. The Internet has a lot of Gun only forums, however DIY rules forbid me from refering you to any other sites sorry

I just punched in what you gave me into, www.google.com I got this link + many more. Matching serial #s are big on the colectors list I have seen them at gun shows for $100 to $300 sold to Deer hunters wanting a tough all weather Deer slayer.
You may want to check out E-Bay or Shotgun news If you have a friend who has a subscription. Good luck on your quest.

Congrats on your 93. I hope it's a shooter. The one I had was not.

Thanks, Marturo and Maxi-Ball. The history of the Model 1893 was very interesting. It was a shooter six or so years ago when my dad last got a deer. I don't feel like putting out 30 or so bucks for ammo just for the fun of shooting it. It's clean and I think I'll leave it that way.

Handyman1950,
That 93 deserves to be shot.
Your 93 will shoot cheaply with cast bullets.
Your next bad habit ought to be bullet casting and reloading.
You won't save any money, but you will shoot more.
Reloadable brass is frequently available on e-bay. Bullets also.
There are two ranges nearby that cost nothing to use. Busiek and Pleasant Hope. For a supervised facility go to Andy Dalton.

You can buy 7x57 Mauser bullets at just about any gunshow for about $10 or per box of 20. Not a bad price really. Reloading is great, but the initial start up expense is uhhh...shall we say breathtaking?
