How do you know if it's legal to shoot where your at it the country? I don't know if I'm in city limits or not, I'm sort of in town and out of town in fact the Bendix Brake factory is right accross the highway from my house. I would like to start target practice on my property (1.5 acre) but I don't know if I can legally and I don't want the cops rolling up my drive way. My property backs onto a 23 acre farm and I know hunters go out there and hunt but my property is right along the highway. Oh, and before anybody says anything I know I could just go to a range but I just don't like shooting with anyone around it just irritates me for some reason. Plus I want to shoot NOW when I have the urge, if I went through all the trouble of getting dressed, packed, blah, blah, I'd probably just forget about it and do something else.

I hope somebody can help me. I've just been given an older handgun by my father. He says he got it, he believes, "in 1956 or 1959" and it was supposedly 10 years old (?) when he got it. It is a revolver, 9 shot, 22LR. On the left side of the barrel is stamped Model 929 h & R Inc. Worcester, Mass. U.S.A. On the right side of the barrel is stamped "side-kick" on the bottom of the frame is stamped the serial no. X 6512. i'm very interested in trying to find history on when this gun was made, original sale price, etc. etc. All of my searches on the net have come up blank. Does anyone know the information I'm looking for, or a website where I might be able to find it? Thanking- you in advance..... Marc
