home made pellets for pellet rifle?
I'm thinking of buying an air powered pellet rifle, mostly just for plinking tin cans in the back field, but perhaps also to put an occasional squirrel in the stew pot in case the regular food supply chain should become disrupted.
I'm wondering if anybody knows if molds exist so a person could cast their own lead pellets - either round or traditional - for something like a .22 cal air rifle?
Thanks

Really, they are just large rats with fuzzy tails, but them are some mighty fine eatin'. I hate cleaning them

Yeah I found this thread late too… Anyway in 6 years time what you could buy at Wal-Mart for 3$ has dam near tripled. even .22 LR ammo has gone thru the roof... IF… you can even find it. What was " just plane crazy" 6 years ago is now start’en to sound pretty good to me. Who knows... with the way things are head'ed we might be living in District 12 in another 6 years. On another note... you'ed be surprised how much free lead you can get scrounging around your local mechanic shop's. I got almost 80lb's in used wheel weights in one stop. I know it's not the best lead but outta be good enough for an air rifle
